日本的311大地震即將屆滿6年，每年311總會推出相關活動的日本YAHOO雅虎，這次在東京銀座的索尼大樓刊登廣告，高達31公尺的廣告上，標出中間16.7公尺處，廣告內還寫著「海嘯襲擊銀座」，原來這是雅虎的廣告創意，提醒民眾，當年最高的海嘯達16.7公尺，也就是紅線標注的位置。

這幅廣告上，寫著滿滿的字，主要提到311大地震屆滿6年，災害發生後的重建之路遙遠，也提醒人們勿忘這場大地震，更重要的是「提醒防災的概念」。

廣告中寫出，當年地震引發的海嘯，最高達16.7公尺，「假設這海嘯發生在銀座，大概就是這麼高」，廣告中間標出16.7公尺，讓走在路上的人們感受，16.7公尺的海嘯威力有多大，要日本人勿忘災害，隨時有防災的準備。

日本雅虎這次的311廣告被網友讚翻瘋傳，成為推特上熱門討論話題，不少日本人看了超有感，直呼「標出高度，就讓人感受到地震與海嘯的可怕」、「隨時做好防災準備」。這廣告將從3月6日起刊登12天。

日本雅虎也延續之前的計畫，只要在3月11日在日本雅虎搜尋「3.11」，雅虎就會捐出10圓日幣給相關重建組織。
